Microsoft Office 2004 for the Mac employs a system that detects how many machines a particular copy of Office 2004 (as determined by the product key entered during installation) is running on. If that number exceeds two, any subsequent attempts to run an Office app will fail with an error message that tells you EXACTLY what the problem is.
