iPod no sound when i encode ipod movies through itunes

ive got about 20 random music videos i want to play on my ipod but when i encode them, i dont get any sound. any ideas?

Use iSquint to encode them instead of iTunes/QuickTime.

they are probably MPEG1 Muxed Audio files. Quicktime/iTunes wont convert them properly. iSquint or MPEG Stream Clip should do the job.
