View Full Version : The "blame mgreen FREE stuff thread"

With apologies to mrgreen, but his request for donations got me cleaning out the piles of misc parts that live in my shop. ;)
This is all free (you pay shipping). Take as much or as little as you like. It worked when it was pulled, but I can't offer any guarantee. Sorry for the wonky descriptions, but the stuff *is* free. :D :D :D I'll try to accommodate things like drive color.
4 floppy drives: three without front covers, one with in beige (modular style like you can cram in a pc)
3 cdrom drives one slot-loading, the 2 others are tray (ditto on the modular)
gobs of ribbon cable (some mac, some pc, variety of pin counts)
hard drive that came out of a pre-imac/early imac era desktop - no idea of size of the drive because the connector is an odd size
I also have the guts to several dead power supplies - any interest there??
Not sure if there's any demand for this, but this thread is the official record of dibs (rather than PMs). Stuff added as it's uncovered!

I can use all of this, therefore record my 'dibbs' on all of it.
*greedy*
Could you please PM me a shipping quote shipped to 14052? Thanks!

jeez, greedy is right :-/. Skoker isn't allowed to claim any new items until someone else has seen the thread now :)

Maybe I'll have to pass myself, PayPal authorized something twice and now I've got to wait 10 days for it to timeout.
Back up for grabs!

somewhere in the neighborhood of 6-8 floppy drives (modular style like you can cram in a pc)
something like 4-6 cdrom drives (ditto on the modular)
gobs of ribbon cable (some mac, some pc, variety of pin counts)
hard drive that came out of a pre-imac/early imac era desktop - no idea of size of the drive because the connector is an odd size
three motherboards, all pc-flavored and p3 and earlier era

I agree that if you're paying even shipping for them, you want to know what you're getting! :)
I'm time-crunched right now so pics and specs are too much (figured posting them for free would get me out of having to deal with that :D :D ).
I'll take them out of the free offer for right now and repost them when I have a little more time to properly answer q's.

Fine, what do you want for the motherboards (hopefully static protected) shipped to 19067. If it's cheap enough I'll just send you a paypal payment and figure it out later.

Do you have any round IDE cables, or are they all the normal, flat kind?
