How can you guarantee shipping on November 20th? The receipt clearly states that this only guarantees you a spot in line when systems become available. If a catastrophe were to hit that caused a massive shortage and this particular EB games only got 3 units you couldn't guarantee shipping.
Given eBay's response to pre-order sales discussed here (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=242589), I'd stop the auction now and wait until I had the system in hand. If there are plenty of Wiis available and someone overpays you for this one you could end up hurting your future eBay auctions due to one disgruntled customer. If there aren't enough systems and you actually have one in hand you can truly guarantee shipping and if someone is willing to pay a lot due to shortage you'll make your profit.
I'm just offering my $0.02.
Edit: Just read the full listing. You may comply with the new eBay rules for listings but I'd still like to know how you can guarantee shipping on the 20th.

In case you didnt notice, they took a very small number of pre-orders. Chances are they will be able to fulfill the orders. Plus they hold your pre-order for 48 hours.
Of course something could happen, he should state that in case something go wrong he will refund their money.
Stop laying into him though. He is following eBays rules which is what matters. It is not your job to police what happens, and its not your job to tell people how to deal with things.

Where did I lay into him? I was just offering some advice to keep someone from giving bad feedback and hurting any future auctions.
I edited when I realized he was not in violation of the rules.
His auction guarantees shipping on November 20th and while while it's very probable that he will be able to keep that guarantee there is a chance that he won't and does not address this possibility which could result in bad feedback from the buyer. Bad feedback could also result if there are plenty of Wiis and the buyer pays a premium for something when he didn't have to.
I was just trying to help someone avoid a bad eBay experience and/or the bad feedback that could result. I made no demands that he take the auction down or go into the morality of the high priced auctions on scarce electronics when they become available.
I was only trying to help. My apologies if it came off the wrong way.

My .02-
Not to discourage you, but I doubt you are gonna be successful charging 200 more for a 250 system. Also recent reports on gaming sites state that there will be plenty of supply, so most will be able to pick up at their local walmart or whatever.

Most people don't know that. And they are paying more than retail on eBay right now. http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?MfcISAPICommand=GetResult&ht=1&shortcut=0&from=R41&query=nintendo+wii&category0=&Submit=Search

Morons. Nintendo has announced 4 million systems by years end (so within 6 weeks of launch), with NA getting the majority of those... so about 2m units. That's enough for 1 in every 150 people living in the US to have one. I doubt that many people want one right now.

because of the supposed shortage of PS3's that'll be available, many people probably assume the same will happen with the Wii.
Tho to be honest, some parts of he country (world) will probably have a much more limited supply than others. And others may have a more extreme demand.
So knowing how many are being produced world wide isnt as helpful as knowing how Nintendo is distrubting them, and how retailers are advertising them.
If retailers give the impression that the need with surpass the supply, they'll sell more...meaning, if people think something is precious, they're more likely to buy it. Like with diamonds.
Now im just rambling...

Better be careful. There is a gamestop/eb policy regarding selling preorders on ebay. There was this one user from another forum who is super angry and is tracking all the preorders on ebay and sending them to gamestop/eb corporate. The policy says something like, if gamestop/eb sees you selling the preorder on ebay then they will cancel your preorder. I gotta find the link to the forum i don't remember where it was. Try to look up the policy.
Just givin you a heads up.
