Question about Powerbook Line-In

How good is it? I am wanting to digitize some of my vinyl and want to know if I should stick with the line-in or get a soundblaster for my PC and use that. Also, what is some good cheap software for the mac that records sound?

i think u can get protools for os 9
you should get a powerbook
i am actually looking for software that you can record for os x cus the os dosent come with ne of this stuuff bugger
