Here is a pic from Apple's site. It's not great, but you can see that they're more tapered than the old ones.

This company (http://www.colorwarepc.com/products/apple_services.aspx) already makes them.

I like the old earbuds. My Mom loves the sound quality too.I prefer the old ones to the new ones, and I wasn't especially taken with those to be honest.
My chief complaint with the new ones is simply that they're a poor fit for my ears. They're very loose and fall out too easily – the earbuds, not my ears that is. ;)

Same problem for me — the new ones are ok, but the old ones fit my ears really well, and felt much more secure. And I preferred the look of them — they were a really nice simple design wheras the new ones just look like average headphones coloured white.

They fit snuggly, block out outside noise sufficently and sound great.
They might be black and thus uniPoddy, but I can't see them when I'm wearing them so I don't care! :p

a little off topic but you wouldn't belive how many people i see with white head phones around campus, you can tell the differance between the too by looking at there ears when you pass them by lol prob think im crazy. Anywho am i the only one that uses those black things that come with the iPod on the headphones?

I use them until they fall off -- which usually happens after just a couple of days.

I like the new ones. Both hurt my ears, but the new ones hurt less. Better for me and the gym. I want a new pair but I kind of don't want to pay $15 on ebay for them.

It's just the opposite here. The old ones were a teensy bit too large and became uncomfortable after a while, the newer ones are just right.

They both seem the same to me. By looking at them i truthfully cant tell the difference. But the major complaint that i have with the old ones was that they would not stay in my ear snugly. When im jogging at the gym or or working with free weights they seem to get loose and i have to stop to fix them. I guess in a sense its pretty hard to make a pair of ear plug head phones that everybody is going to like. This reminds me that i need to buy a new pair of ear plug head phones, are there any suggestions on the good and reasonably priced head phones?
