Forgive me if I am in the wrong section but I would like some advice before my purchase. I currently am a PC owner and do a lot of videos for weddings, memorials, etc. I currently use Vegas6 for my editing and another program for my dvd burning. I render the majority of my video as .avi. I have ordered [but not as yet purchased] the new macbook pro 17 inch and thought I would install Final Cut Express HD as well.
Can anyone tell me if I can import my .avi files into FCE or do I have to get a different program to convert them? I've been searching the net and the apple website to try and get these answers but so far cannot find that information. Help?
