Is the PowerBook G4 superdrive fussy about blank DVD discs?

This hardware (supposedly) supports general-use CD-R DVDs. So far I've tried Verbatim and Panasonic brand blank discs. They whirl around for about 10 seconds and then pop back out. From everything I understand about this superdrive and about the discs, everything should be compatible.

Could it be that I actually have to buy Apple discs?

If your PB is still under warranty, take it in. It should support most blanks just fine. Mine does.

Never mind. Come to find out I don't even have superdrive on my PowerBook. I've got one of the original ones that came with combo. :(
