I use PSP Video 9 to do the job. It converts the file to a readable one on the PSP at any bitrate you want and slips it on over

yes use ffmpegx. it works very well and i can convert a movie to my PSP. The quality is great but there are screen size problems :( . i am not sure how to fix this:confused:. The size of it is about 400 MB.

There is also a beta version of "instant handbrake" available (from the handbrake (http://handbrake.m0k.org) homepage.
With this you can convert ripped dvd's (use mactheripper) to psp or ipod movies.
A two-stage process, but it seems to work fine.

Great bit of software that integrates with iPhoto for you pics as well. Converts movies for the PSP by drag n drop.

I just recently got a new 4gig memory stick and was excited to finally use it to store movies. I've tried multiple programs to encode to the correct format for the psp, with no success. The movies dont play and then I saw this post and it recommended PSPware.
Right now i'm trying this Pspware which looks promising (its converting the movie now and its at 17%) but i'm confused about the folders that appear on my memory stick.
When i look at the memory stick through the finder I have two folders named MEMSTICK.IND and MSTK_PRO.IND. Both ask for an application to open and i have no idea. Previous attempts to transfer video to the psp required me to create folders MP_ROOT and another folder. Obviously nothing was successful, the only thing that happens is the memory stick holds the movie but when you go thru the psp browser it reads "no video". And now I can't figure out where the movie is stored to delete the file that is taking up space. Can I delete these files? Should I Delete everything and go back to theg default settings on teh memory stick? Can somebody tell me what their file structure is on their memorystick and how they use PSPware?
Thanks guys!
