Was bored so i started ripping some DVDs and thought i'd post a random screen shot of what was going on. My fan is revved up like a 747. This isn't a thread, i just didnt know where else to post this. However if people want to post screenshot of their machines hard at work....feel free.

With spaces coming up in Leopard you might not need expose just 65 virtual desktops....although i doubt spaces will give 65 desktops.

the first one is adium (an alternate to ichat). the second one is coconut wifi. i'm not familiar with the next 4 until it gets to the standard icons in tiger (bluetooth, wifi, etc.).

I think the alarm clock one is TinyAlarm. I had that, but switched to Aurora so I could wake up with iTunes.

And dang, I wish I could encode video that fast. My Core Solo does around 7 - 8 FPS.

i can literally open every single app in my applications folder and only pull 40% of my 400 % available.

I'm really impressed, i ripped a DVD at H.264 and 160kbs in 1hr30m. Thats nothing to sneeze at.

Imagine doing that on 4 Cores or even 8 (MacPro).

Is that website with the guitars and drums the site of the Boston Top 40 band Downtown Fever? If so, that's cool - I mixed their demo. If not, looks like the web designer ripped off that flash.

I only have 65 apps in my Apps folder. Plus I only have 1gb of RAM, if I up it to two, it will scream when it comes to multiple apps...

It will give you up to 256 spaces actually. Maximum of 16 x 16 desktops.

I don't really feel like posting it but my G4's workout is Folding@Home and then ripping/encoding/burning DVDs every once in a while.

This thread inspired me to find out how many apps I could get open on my eMac. It started to act weird, at around 19, and I should have stopped then, but I opened another 10 and crashed my computer.

130 ish, I just lost count whilst signing in.

I just don't have that many apps on my system, as I mainly use it for the web music, videos etc.

That's a pretty intense app for a Duo.
