Why is the apple store still down???

I know the core 2 duo macbooks were released today and are on the main page, but the apple store itself is still down. How come??

Another product update maybe? Can we hope?
 
they wanted to wait and see how long it would take until people at MR created a thread about it and complained ...haha now it'll go up
 
Thats exactly my idea too... go to the store... configure computer... see what is different with them. Its much easier to tell whats new by going to the store, instead of reading all about it on its own page.
 
someone posted in another thread that apple said it will be back up at 10:30AM Pacific time

thats 5 hours or so - thats more than just routine maintenance. i wonder if we will see a new front end?

store is back up. looks about the same to me, other than the 'holiday gift guide' on the upper left

order status is still down. wtf.
