Hello again, I just ordered one of the 900Mhz iBooks to replace my 500Mhz White iBook from way back when. I am selling the 500mhz iBook.
Specs:
DVD/CDRW Combo drive, 128MB Ram, 20GB Hard drive, manuals, CDs, power adapter, and I think I have the original box. The only cable I don't think I still have is the phone cord.
Before you get excited there are a few drawbacks:
1. The battery is dead. Has a big X when it's in the computer. You can have it, however, if you really want it.
2. The screen has a very slight dim spot on it that is about 3in high and 1in wide. It's hard to notice if you are not looking for it, but I wanted to warn you. It was caused when a book ended up resting on the screen (not by me) for an extended period of time. It has been that way for about 2 years. It has not gotten better or worse, if that tells you anything.
3. Right shift key works 98% of the time, but 2% of the time when you hit it lightly it doens't work. A firm press will always make it work.
4. There are scratches on the case, but no cracks or damage from dropping, and of course, it's missing all of the stupid rubber feet that Apple never attaches good enough.
Besides those problems it works fine. I have been using it constantly since it was released until now, and has never failed me.
So knowing the problems with this iBook (and by buying it you realize that it's sold as-is with the above problems) make an offer. I'm not looking for a lot of money.
