Hi,

Im interested in buying a compact digital camera as a christmas gift. I was looking at the canon digital ixus 65 which seems to be getting some good reviews. Im assuming the camera will be used for various functions from general photography to nights out. Picture quality is pretty important. My knowledge of cameras only really extends to the basics, such as megapixels and shutter speed. Does anyone have any other recommendations? I have a budget of around £200.

Cheers :)

look at the Sony DSC - W30 or W50, ( if you want a larger screen). Cameras-2u inthe UK sell this for about £149.00. Excellent reviews and 'Computer Shopper' s ' Best Product (in this category).

I'm about to buy one for my wife after some excellent reviews. I was originally interested in the latest Casio 10mp camera with an extra large screen, but have hit mixed reviews despite its fantastic spec.
