Kool-aid or Vanilla Coke, depending on how much sugar I've had the day before...

Tea, but Iced Tea. Same thing, just colder. I like to make that Tazo stuff they sell at Starbucks, add lots of sugar, and chill it. My favorite is the Raspberry flavor, forgot the name.

Definitely juice! Good for you, and tasty, too.
I'm impressed by how many people have actually chosen water. I would have thought that soda would have been much more dominant, perhaps with a better showing from coffee. But then, what do I know? I'm a purist! ;)

Wow, what broad categories. :D
First, juice. Second, soda.
If we want to get into specifics, Dr. Pepper/Mr. Pibb is my favorite soda beverage, and juice... well, I just like juice. As long as there's no bananas in it, that is. :p

Beer... Mendicino Eye of the Hawk as for the favorite. Second would have to be Budwar or Checvar as it is called here in the states.

No lactose-free milk in "other worlds than these"? Just curious.
My beverage would be red wine, favourite one is Bushman Rouge or Casillero del Diablo Syrah. (Ice) tea is okay, but coffee gives me pretty bad shakes.

indeed there is soy milk. which is what i drink (not lactose intolerant though)... and rice milk which i haven't tried.... but it's definitely not quite the "same"... regular milk has a very refreshing taste. whereas soymilk is a bit sweeter... it's good, but not the same.
i'm the type of person that loves using a drink to complement a certain type of food... orange juice is a must with a bagel (or just in the morning in general). coke is great with a sandwich and chips. coke and mountain dew (or code red) are all great with popcorn....
kool aid is always great.

Miller Lite.
I love the heavier, darker stuff, but too many carbs and calories! Lite is 96cals and 3.2 carbs! Lowest of all beers even if its a little soft it works!
Otherwise I love bottled water, diet soda, etc.

Well, we've got real lactose-free milk. Looks the same, tastes the same, is the same - except for the lactose, which is partially removed and the rest is enzymatically split into simpler sugars (like in low-lactose products). Can't describe my feelings when it hit the market last year. Totally great! I've been lactose intolerant for almost a decade, and it's a bit hard sometimes because they seem to put milk powder (or alike) in everything.

wow, that sounds quiet interesting. haven't seen such a thing here, though i haven't looked
and i know what you mean about avoiding milk... i'm working on cutting dairy/eggs out of my diet (the dairy industry here in the US is no good..) and it's quite tough... there are some good cheese substitutes but they are lactose free, but not milk derived casein free... and of course most breads have some sort of milk derivative if not eggs also...

Actually down here in the swamps it is all called coke. "Do you want a coke?" Means "Do you want this pepsi that I am holding in my hand?" Same applies for any carbonated beverage. (Also Sprite and 7Up are interchangable. :))

Drink it all the time.
Raspberry ice tea is great! Love it too.
Wine is cool. Don't have it too often, but when I do, LOOK OUT! heh! :D

I found it pretty hard to decide - each beverage has its place. I chose water because that's what I generally drink the most of.
At work, its coffee in the morning, milk at noon, ice tea or water in the afternoon.
Dinner's usually milk, water or wine. The evening "watch TV" beverage is a couple of glasses of water.
When out for dinner or weekends, its beer. Real stuff, like Guiness, not Bud. The only time I'll drink that 'Lite' stuff is when it is literally free.
Once in a blue moon, I'll have a single malt scotch, usually one that's about as old as a good fraction of the posters here, as reported in a prior survey :D

well, the fact that the water in the kettle just boiled, says one thing....
TEA!!! proper english tea, PG Tips, tea leaves if I fancy being a bit nostalgic, but usually just tea bags, ooh, come to think of it, that's weird, way back when, PG Tips used to have monkeys acting in the commercials, and teabgs 'tar is monkeys! do do do do. anyways, i digress, again, tea, with milk, and sometimes sugar.
if i really am dying for a cuppa, i have to have about 3 liptons teabags if there's nothing else available, american tea is just gross, and the "english breakfast tea", well, we don't drink that crap in england, pure marketing that is.
and what is awesome, is dunking some biscuits (cookies) in it... mmmm....
other than tea though, is beer, Murphys is my beer of choice, it's not bitter like guinness, or in the summer, corona (with lime) or shandy is very nice (half beer half sprite/7up etc)

It was a very difficult choice. I chose soda, turned out to be 23.5%. It's coffee in the morning, sounds funny, but I wish that coffee would taste the way it smells. I love to smell freshly ground coffee! :) After lunch I drink water. Overall the best taste is the soda!

Pop!!!!!!!!
Actually, one time when I was on a trip somewhere, I asked the waitress what kinds of pop they had, and she made some comment about that I must not be from there or something, that I must be a tourist, or asked me where I was from, or something like that. Anyway, it's pop, not soda.... So there.

2 cups of coffee in the morning.
2 bottles of water during the day.
Milk with lunch, and usually with dinner. I could drink a gallon a day, actually, I love it so much.
Once in a while, I'll do Ice Tea. And, of course, we all like an ocassional beer or a shot of Vodka.:p
vniow honey, you're still doin' Kool Aid? I thought we talked about that...easy does it sweetie!;)

What's the difference? ;)
I used to be a big advocate of Coca Cola. Then someone told me how it has phosphorous (sp?) acid in it and that a lot of sodas have the same active acid ingredient. I really wasn't too impressed with that little bit of info until someone told me that in it's undiluted condition this acid is labeled a chemical hazard and must be shipped into the plant in drums with hazardous material labels on it. I was also notified that you could clean your garbage disposal and your toilet bowl with a litre of Coke or Pepsi by simply leaving the stuff in there overnight.
I tried it.
It worked.
I was impressed.
Next I was told if you take a tooth and put it into a cup of Coke or Pepsi overnight that it will dissolve the darn thing. Haven't tried that. I need all my teeth at the moment. However, it makes a bit of sense.
Now I drink water. :D

* You chew on other people's fingernails
* You answer the door, before people knock
* You sleep with your eyes open
* You go to sleep, just so you can wake up and smell

* You don't even wait for the water to boil anymore
* You're the employee of the month at Starbucks and you don't even work there
* You help your dog chase its tail
* You lick your coffeepot clean
* You go to AA meetings just for the free coffee
* You're so wired you pick up FM radio
