An occupant of one of the cars attacked Dunham and the two fought hand to hand. As they fought, Dunham yelled to fellow Marines, "No, no watch his hand." The attacker then dropped a grenade and Dunham hurled himself on top of it, using his helmet to try to blunt the force of the blast.

Damn...say what you will about the war(personal I don't think we should be there) never the less this man was a great man. No doubt he deserves the Medal of Honor. I know few people who would jump on a live grenade to save others. Makes me sad that he died.

how's he doing?

Um...did you read the post or the article? He died eight days after the incident.

Incredible act of bravery...I have serious doubts about whether I could act so selflessly in such a situation.

That's the way I want to go out - by saving someone.
