Hey Guys!

Just got my brand new Canon Digital Rebel and I LOVE it!

Its imported from the US, and I don't have a converter for the charging unit (yet) - however I have a UK 3-pin cable with the same connecter that fits the charger.

Can I use this and charge away, without blowing the battery or the charger unit?

Thanks in advance!

Check the voltage on the charger, it needs to go to 240V, also check whether the plug is a mains cable or has a transformer, if it has a transformer it needs to output the same voltage/current as the US one.

Thanks Eraserhead.

Checked what you said, and all is well. Plugged it in, and its charging a treat.

Thanks again. Can someone please close the thread? Ta.
