I figured I'd post here first and see what happens... :D
When I got my 17 inch Powerbook 6 days ago at the University of Michigan Computer Showcase, I also sprang for the $187 AppleCare bundle, which happened to come with a 20 GB iPod (Mac). I have no use for it, since Tremor and Linux on the iPod isn't mature enough to play ogg files in realtime (and most of my music is in ogg format); and I can get a firewire drive with more capacity. I'm willing to part with it for $400. That's a saving of $99 :D
It's brand new, still in the orginal shrinkwrap. Never been opened, or even touched --- I was too busy playing with the laptop. :) I can provide a copy of the reciept, and pictures (when I can steal a digital camera from somewhere) if you wish.

I'll give you my gamecube for it. It includes 6 games, 2 controllers, and 2 memory cards. E-mail me if interested at Wano540@aol.com . Thanks!

Good luck selling the 20 gig for anything over $300 -- even if it is still in the box.
I would strongly recommend selling it on ebay...

What pessimism. Sell to Europeans instead? There all Mac prices are more expensive, so the old ones were 399 / 499 / 649 euros, now about the same. I have a 20 G as well, and I'd probably like a smaller model more, but no way I'd sell it for 300. I could sell it next time i go to Europe but 300? wtf?

Notice lack of bids for people that are trying to get 90% of their money back. The iPod is a commodity (ie nothing unique, widely available), and the used market pricing reflects that. Not to mention last weeks update...

I love it when people post live auction links. 99.9% of users now bid in the last hour (that NOT an official stat :) ).
Ebay has a "Completed Items" search as well.
Your asking price seems fair.

But too pricey for me :)

Obviously, it can be done. But all I'm saying is that the 20 gig iPod is not tending to sell at 300.

So I've noticed, Chad ^_^
So, I decided to remove my prejudice (but still feel iffy) against MP3, and opened the box. Wow, that thing is beautiful. Almost as beautiful as my 17" PB. Now I'm a happy camper with mucho music, and effectively means this thread is closed. :D
Now, it'd be much nicer if the headphone drivers had more power in them... *sigh* I guess it's time for getting a headphone amp soon.
