New Mac User looking for video card recommendations

Heya folks, my first time posting here... I'm a soon-to-be mac convert, looking to pick up a maco pro with dual 2.66 ghz processors, 4 gigs ram, and well, the only thing i'm stuck on chosing, is the video card(s)...

Coming from the PC world, I'm reluctant to buy ATI cards, as i've had nothing but problems with them in the past... but will go ATI reluctantly if it's needed. What I'm looking for is, some recommendations on a video card for my new system. I'd like to try the dual-boot vista stuff, and possibly play games on the the mac that way, but my priority is dual-monitor, apeture and photoshop performance...

Anyone in a similar circumstance that can offer any advice?!

the only thing avaiable for gamers from apple is the x1900 isn't it?

althought what you can do is get the 7300 from apple and buy your own PC vid card.. doing this you can use the pc vid card under windows and the 7300 in osx
however you will need to switch cables back and forth

if you dont' want to do this you can either find a compatible card like a 7600 i belive or myabe a 7800 card which ever one that works with Titan that way you use one vid card for both osx and windows

but if you take the x1900 form apple you won't need to do either it's compatible in both osx and windows

ATI had horrid problems with drivers in Windows and Linux before but it's OK now. I have a PC with an ATI card (NVidia chipset) and it gave me zero problems with Windows and Linux. Both my Macs have ATI cards and still no problems there either. I haven't see anyone complain about ATI card drivers on this forum either.

The ATI X1900 XT works great under OS X and WinXP. I have PC friends that have sworn off ATI as well, but I've never had problems.

Someone figured out that you can actually use just about any NVidia card you want just by using these special drivers:

You can also buy a cheapo X1900 XT 512MB and flash it to the mac version:
