I have an ipod mini (1st gen). There are podcasts on it that are not seen in iTunes - so therefore these podcasts can never be deleted.

What I have tried to do was to restore the ipod using iTunes. Everytime I try, I recieve a message that says, "The iPod cannot be restored because it contains foles that are in use by another application". The only proggies that are running is activity monitor, iTunes, Mail, Safari and Finder (of course).

What can I do to correct this so that I can get these podcasts off of there.

Have you tried setting it to "Manually manage songs etc." and deleting them that way?
