No, something like Palms do. Exchanging numbers with the consent of the users.

With an acceptance of the transfer, it would be just fine. Pretty cool idea.
No need to remember your numbers anymore. Heck, take it one step further and transfer a full digital business card for the person's address book. :)

i've always thought carphones should do this, so you can call that guy that just about hit you and tell him what a ****ing idiot he is :D
i think something like it will at least be tried before long... using the permissive technique...

Actually paul, I heard about a couple of entrepreneurs who were trying something akin to what you're suggesting. They wanted to set up a website with an email address for every license plate number in the state. Then when some idiot almost hits you, you can take down his license plate number, email him, and tell him not to pick his nose while he's darting across three lanes of traffic. Seemed like a good idea to me. *Slight* potential for abuse, though.

it can connect your phone a wireless headset, the size of a quarter, so you can walk around and talk without holding a phoen to your face.
it can connect to notebooks/computers/PDAs and allow you to browse the web via the phone.
it can control your computer with proper apps.
it can be used to transfer business cards, or any data for that matter (see above)
you can connect your phone to your notebook, and to a wireless headset, and make calls or listen to music through it wirelessly and the music can be set to pause when a call comes in, etc.
the possibilities are almost limitless...:)

the best part is being able to have the phone in your backpack or your pocket while using a wireless headset or browsing the internet on your Palm.
God I love my T68 :D

REndezvous in a cellphone is interesting. However, unless your cellphone does IP addresses, it's no-go. Rendezvous uses IP for connectivity. No IP capability, no talky-talky.

I think Rendezvous isn't needed. Bluetooth automatically discovers the devices in the room.
