Will it work? or not because it has the Intel Chip set? if not is there a patch that would allow me to play it?

Won't it run under Rosetta? Not sure if it was just my PowerMac G5, but this game sometimes went down to about 6 fps, even with my X800XT. If it was just my copy of the game or my computer, I'm sure it will run just fine.
