An EFI firmware update is avail in software update. Fixes start up as well as Bootcamp problems. The update(s) are for all Intel Macs [different download by platform]

Not applicable to C2D MBPs. I ran software update twice and saw nothing.

And if you d/l from Apple's website, it gives notice that "this firmware upgrade is not for your ...." blah, blah, blah.
