Quick Newb Question about AirPort

Do you HAVE to have an airport express base (either kind) for your new C2D iMac to pick up wireless internet? Or will it pick up signals from my current wireless router? In the tech specs of the site it made it seem like you had to have the airport base. (Guess thats marketing for you if the answer to this question is no...)

it should work with most wireless routers. I have my MacBook (Core Duo, though) connected to my network via a NetGear router.

I've got a NetGear, too. I don't think I've heard anything about it changing when they changed processors, luckily.

I've used my iBook on just about every brand of wireless router. Apple's base station is nice, but man is it expensive...
