iTunes not copying over song(s)

I put all my CDs on my HDD and have then transferred them over to the Ipod with no problems. I have now downloaded a song to see if I want to purchase the full CD and for some reason it wont transfer from iTunes to the Ipod but it plays in iTunes with no problem.

Is this a copyright issue with the song or what? I've downloaded 2 differnet copies of the song and neither will transfer over to the Ipod.

Is your iPod set to automatically sync with iTunes? Do you get a dialogue box when you try transferring these purchased songs? :)
