24" monitor recommendation

I'm trying to decide between Dell FWP2407 and HP LP2465. Was going to go with Dell, but then I read somewhere that the Dell suffers from color banding. A lot less info is available on the HP monitor. The HP is currently selling for less than the Dell (PC Mall has it for $699).

I would go with the Dell, it have nice input and use same panel as the Apple LCD. I think they have update their latest Dell 24WFP model. I got the Dell 24WFP and I don't have any of the color banding from older model. Mine is Revison 03, from what I heard anyone who own a Revision 03 of the Dell model have no complain yet. Just the green trail still exist if you drag a windows with icons really fast over a bright background such as white.
