All it does is try to boot and gets to the last part where it says "windows login starting" or something close to that. I figured out how to get to the Firmware page so my question would be is there anything I can do from there to figure out what is wrong? Hopefully without having to loose everything...

try booting to the system CD and have it run Disk first aid and repair permissions. Hope this helps Good luck.
Actually I have no idea what you just said. I don't have any cds with it just an ibook no software came with it... I have had it for like 2 years now and no prbs untill now randomly.

Well, before we get too far into this, do you have another Mac you can use Target Disk Mode with to hopefully back your data up? I've got a feeling you'll need to get your hands on some OSX discs, too. 😱
