I woke my 17" C2D iMac from sleep mode after I got home from work and this line just to the right from the middle jumped out and screamed I'm here (if you care to know, they are stuck green and the line goes from top to bottom). I talked to my cousin who used to work in an Apple store fixing computers and he said the G3? G4? (I can't remember exactly) screen was user replaceable or something like that. I will call Apple later when I have a bit of time as I am still under the one year of coverage but I would like a heads up on what to expect.
Thanks :-}

Hmm... my brother was playing a online java game and while I was at work he said the line flickered for about 20 minuts and then just disappeared. Any ideas?

Seems like the pixels came unstuck while updating them. Weird but usually that's the way pixels become unstuck...

I did not yet get a chance to call Apple about the problem, but at this point I have seen the green line of annoyance come and go between sleeps.

I've heard that you can massage them back to life a lot of the time. I'm not sure how you'd go about doing a whole line of them though, or why it's doing that in the first place.

Since it's the entire line, it's not the same problem as a stuck pixel. Massaging won't help. I think it must be a problem with the vertical electrical conductor at that row.
