View Full Version : Skype auto mounts on startup help

I installed skype and clearly did something wrong now everytime i boot up it seems to be mounted and tries to start the install. How do i fix this ? Any help would be great.

Did you put the skype icon into your app folder as yet...if you have then eject that sykpe mount and delete the dmg.

Also check to see if you got sykpe starting up at restart.

Yep that did it thanks ! it even still tried to mount outta the trash can..

Yep that did it thanks ! it even still tried to mount outta the trash can..The Login Item still points to the disk image. Remove it from login and have it open the Skype from your Applications folder.

Spotlight "Login Items" -- it'll show you where.

Alternatively, just go to System Preferences, Accounts, Login Items

I know this is old, but damn it just came in handy. I love having the forums archived. Thanks for helping him out, and thereby helping me out.
