definitely not a rumor, but maybe a few guys saw this last night...

on tony kornheiser and michael wilbon's espn debate show, the pair asked broadcast.com founder, dairy queen employee, dallas mavs owner mark cuban what he thought of his new mavericks nba team (they made some big trades right before the trade deadline, thus giving his team a pretty new personality)...

he said, (and i'm paraphrasing since i saw this last night and writing this morning) ***well, now we have a new identity, a new brand that we want our fans to identify with, like microsoft and dell...

wow, i guess cuban doesn't have a new imac on his desk, huh?

cuban is the man, period. what hes done with the Mavs is unprecedented.

m$ ... duh who doesnt know of m$??

as far as Dell goes, its an austin based company, no more than 4 hours from Dallas. Plus given his background he probably knows Satan personally.

alright, forgive me for bringing it up.

i guess i have one guy here who thinks i said mark cuban had an imac, and another guy here who thought i was saying something bad about mark cuban.

i read my post again, and it sure looked like the second time that i read the post, i was laughing at the references to brands with which he wanted to identify the mavericks.

he doesn't want to identify the Mavs with m$ or Dell.

he wants to be AS IDENTIFIABLE as those companies. Big difference.

don't think he can't either. he is one of the only reasons Real Networks has come as far as they have. especially being that the technology is now crap compared to the rest of what we have.

Everybody's just cranky 'cause Apple has gone beyond release-junky tolerance and they're all getting the shakes, headaches, etc.

SJ has a rehab clinic in Cupertino for release junkies. It's adjoining the R&D 1 Cafeteria.
