Mac Pro and DVDs

So i'm preparing for my trip home for the holiday. Start to rip a few of my DVDs to my iPod. This damn Super Drive says it can't read the DVD. Brand new condition BarberShop the movie. My G4 reads the movie fine. Whats the deal with these damn Sony SuperDrives?????????? Handbrake is still processing though, but it would be nice if the damn DVD player/system would notice and mount the damn disc.

Hey guess what: I had the same problem (volumes not mounting). I had to format OS X and reinstall.
