Well I've got myself a bit of a problem, my computer is usually left on all the time with the odd restart here and there, anyway it got turned off today while I was out of the house and now it's stopped working.

Simply put, after the startup chime there is nothing but a blank screen, no lights on the keyboard or monitor, none of the start up key combinations will do anything so I can't even open the disk tray to try a Tiger boot dvd.

After scanning these forums I learnt that the PMU may need resetting, so I did that and turned it back on agin only to be met by that same blank screen.

So is my faithfull iMac G4 dead?

Fans turn on? sounds like something might be fried I would say the logic board...If you can't get that install disk to go through.

Bless

Thats what I was dreading, looks like it's just scap then 🙁 It's not even 4 years old.
