How do you do it?
I mean on a newly registered website? I've seen it done for different websites amongst the forums and was curious about how I would do that myself.

I ask because http://www.appletunes.com is up. Personally, I'm thinking BS but you never know, so I guess I'm just asking to find if it is.

generally start with the bigger WHOIS sites, if it doesn't give you the information you want, go to the server it lists. You may have to go to one of many different registrars to find the site--

you can also type, in Terminal,
whois http://www.apple.com
to get whois info on apple.com, etc etc...
