Fun read, and confirms Cell vs. "real" PPC CPU.

conclusion: My Quad G5 is a super-duper PS3!! :cool:

It will be interesting to check back in after he has had the chance to rerun the tests using the suggestions on his feedback page (the new Yellow Dog, Equal RAM, optimized code, etc.). Furthermore, no one has commented on how the PS3 blows the Mac out of the water on the Stdlib write tests (>300% vs Mac)...

On the updated tests, I want to see it with a Dual 2.7 Ghz processor G5 run agianst the PS3.

However you would have to disable one of the processors on the G5 Powermac to be fair! :)
