Hi I just recieved the G4 Cube from Flyinace2000, MR member of vast integrity and great packing skills.

I want to try to put a new hard drive in it before I boot it up to see if that will help things.

Where would I find a photo guide for Cubes and switching the HD? A bit nervous.

Installing a new drive is probably the easiest of Cube upgrades. I'm not sure where you will find a description of the process, but once you remove the core it should be pretty self-explanatory. It slides right out with the removal of a couple of release screws.
