I just bought a new Raptor SATA 150 Gig drive and a SATA controler card from SeriTek 1V4. This is the SATA controller for the Mac with 4 internal conectors. Well I have this PowerMac G4 MDD 1,42 Dual and a 120Gig standard HD.
Now I want to have the Raptor as a boot disk and the existing HD as storage. Unfortunately the SeriTek comes with no drivers, manual on CD only. I hooked everything up and I can see the SeriTek in the area PCI Cards.
How come that I cant find the new Raptor? The raptor is hooked up with the red SATA L-shaped cable and the generic 4 pin power, I couldn't find anything else. I have heard I have to install SCSI dirvers, is that really true???
