waking up macbook - ejecting cd

i jsut realized that the noise my macbook makes everytime i wake it up is the cd player ejecting even if i have nothing in there. does this happen to everyone else who has a macbook? is there any way to fix it? thanks.

Its just checking to see if there is a disk in there. Its not ejecting. If there is a disk it will mount it.
