Ripping a burnt cd

Can you burn files you download from the store to CD? If you can, couldn't you rip that CD, then have an AAC file with no limits or restrictions on it? Then you have a normal AAC with no Digital Rights Management, right? This could be a big hole in the system.

Wasnt everybody talking about this yesterday? I though of it too and it pretty much has to work (unless apple have drm built into the aac ripper but i dont think so).

i was thinking about this also, would you lose any quality though? in theory, you wouldn't, right?

i reckon it'd work (but it seems to easy a way round it, they must've thought of this), anyone tried it??

I guess you would lose some little amounts of quality. Probably not much, and it would still sound better than an mp3.

They must have thought about this, and the only thing I can think of is that it is still better than making no money at all, like they do on Kazaa. I think the music industry has come to terms with the way things are. Now they have to embrace what they can.

I read somewhere (maybe a MacNN piece?) yesterday that you CAN rip your iTunes store music to CD, but if you try to upload to Kazaa the sound quality is abysmal.
