Comment: This song's been on constant repeat lately -- I can't get enough. I'm a sucker for a "slow build" song, and this one's perfect -- it builds to such a life-affirming crescendo by the end that I almost want to cry each time. I guarantee you'll be singing "I'm going to change! (x9)" in your head for some time to come...

i think you could have chosen a better song off of gang of losers. Ballad of Human Kindness is incredibly cheesy. There goes my outfit, or ticket to immortality would have been a better.

Cheesey in what way? Lyrically? I suppose if one is cynical, they could say that. Why does a positive, hopeful song need to be cheesey? I know most people think songs need to be all "doom and gloom" in order to have any merit, but I don't agree with that line of thinking. Most of The Dears material can probably be described as "depressing" anyway, and there's nothing wrong with that either. For "Human Kindness," it's all about the second half of the song -- bittersweet and joyous at the same time.
"Ticket to Immortality" is a perfectly fine song, but a little on the bland side (at least for The Dears, whom I expect a little more passion from).
"There Goes My Outfit" is great! Actually, if there's any song that's truly cheesey (at least musically), it's probably "Outfit" -- but I kind of like it for that reason, and I've grown even more fond of it on repeated listening. The stripped down version of it is way better, though, as it loses its awkwardness and reveals its soul.
All of GANG OF LOSERS is fantastic, and is one of my favorite albums of 2006. Will probably recommend more from this or NO CITIES LEFT soon.
