Comment: A song that's beautiful, sad, quiet, loud, funny, emotional, peaceful, powerful, and so many other things all at once. To see Ben perform this song live is a revelation.

I love this song, and the album from which it stems. I like Ben Folds' solo work, but I wish this ensemble hadn't parted ways. :(
The summer that album came out I lost a dear uncle and almost lost my best friend post-surgery on his brain tumor. There is a lot of emotion tied up into the album and its recurring theme of regrets and wishing things could be different. I have to skip over some of the songs (esp. "Magic" and "Hospital Song") because it just reflects too much how I felt that summer. God rest the souls of my uncle Bud (Summer 1999) and my best friend Robin, who lost his fight with brain cancer Spring 2001.

This is a great song and such a wonderful opener to the album.
The piano at the start of the song always gets me tapping my thumbs on the keyboard while working.
Huge thumbs up for this and another favourite from Messner, "Army".

This is one of my favorite Ben Fold's songs, I used to always have this song on repeat and I'd always listen to it. Good Song.
