Call of Duty 1 console programs

I can't open the console in single player mode. It works fine in multilayer mode, but it does nothing in single player mode when I press "`" or "~" I've tried every button but nothing. I'm just trying to change it to wide screen mode for my macbook C2D. Worked fine in multilayer mode but single player... nothing.

any help?

There should be a menu setting that enables you to open the console. Try looking under Options > Interact.

If you want to edit the settings directly you can also edit the cfg file for CoD. That can be found at ~/Library/Application Support/Call of Duty/Main

Now I have a new problem... I just finish one of the first levels, and when it goes to load the next one it says "Maximum number of disconnected path exceeded"
