View Full Version : Why cant I use another AV cable with the iPod?

Im a little confused. I have an AV cable that is identical to apples Av cable, yet it doesn't work. Id like to know why this is.

You can, Apple just swapped around the colours for the audio/visual outputs. So if you're using a standard 3.5mm minijack -> RCA cable you'll just need to swap the outputs around until you find the one actually outputting the video. I think it's the red one on a regular AV cable.
