Out of curiosity, does anyone know what the expected battery life is on these front row remotes? When they die are we just expected to drop $29 on a new one?

There's a little button on the bottom of the remote that you press with a pen or something small. The battery is in there.

The batteries are like $5, and take 8 seconds to replace.;)
Mine has shown no sings of low battery after 7 months.

I've used mine about twice, mainly just to see how it works. But if you were using the computer as your main way of watching movies or something, it could come in handy.

I've programmed my universal remote with the Apple Remote signals, so I hardly use the remote anymore. But, I've found it quite handy for Keynote presentations.

Mine died after a month :( , probably was overused trying to impress my peecee using friends :) . I replaced the battery for 5 bucks and 10 seconds of finger labor, I really wouldn't be worried about it.
