So I plan on spending my Christmas break playing Twighlight Princess and renting some others like Rayman, RedSteel, Call of Duty, Madden, and Excite Truck etc., but looking at the release schedule on Nintendo.com and IGN I'm having a hard time finding any non-Nintendo games to get me excited. The games that look best on the release schedule or that i have seen previews for:

Wario Ware: Smooth Moves
Super Mario Galaxy
Super Paper Mario
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
Sadness
Resident Evil Wii
Disaster: Day of Distruction
Super Smash Bros. Brawl

The sad thing is the only games that look promising to me that aren't first-party titles are Sadness and Resident Evil. Are there any other games that you guys are looking forward too?

On another note, does anybody think that another Dance Dance Revolution will be ported to the Wii? My girlfriend likes this game and I think the Wiimote could add hand movements which would make it more challanging and interesting.

Also, does anyone think that there is a chance that someone will figure out how to stream iTunes/iPhoto materials to the Wii similar to the functionality in connect360? I would really like this feature as my airport express just died and I hate to buy another as I have been reading that the capacitors that were used in them have shortened lifespans due to the APX being too hot...

I'm mostly looking forward to Super Paper Mario. I'd also like to check out Mario Galaxy, Metroid 3, Wario Ware, Resident Evil, Smash Bros. Brawl when they come out.

Also looking forward to some more Wii/DS integration.

The LucasArts game I have visualized in my mind: battling with the lightsaber via the Wiimote, while using the Force to force doors open/close, or to hit an enemy with a crate, etc, via the Nunchuck.

If it was done well, that would be the best game ever.... :D

That would be funny. :D The game could include a Bob Ross fro attachment.

Metroid Prime 3 is me pick.

And let the Lucas Art graphic adventures begin. But not the newer 3D crap, the good ole DOS stuff. :)

Sadness is looking very promising, it's certainly intriguing! Star Wars lightsabre game is going to be massively popular if well done.

I'm also looking forward to Mario Kart, with online capabilities and clever use of the controllers. Could be the most addictive online game ever!

I'm getting older, and short of getting a job in the industry I don't think I'll have time for much gaming come summer 2007. But I will definitely get these -
Mario Galaxy
Metroid Prime 3
Smash Bros Brawl
Excite Truck (only if F-Zero WX or Mario Kart Wii aren't announced soon)
Wii Play
Animal Crossing Wii
Super Paper Mario

Probably 1 or 2 more :)

Battalion Wars 2 (i left out BW 1 because the lack of multiplayer)

Super Smash Brothers Brawl
Elebits (gravity gun FTW)

then there are some stuff i don't know enough about:
Disaster - Day of crisis need more infos about that
Forever Blue: a diving game ? might be interesting

on other stuff like the lucas arts game or final fantasy chronicles i'll wait some more(FF:CC will get presented on a show on the 16-17 december in japan)
also Ubisoft said they have 1-2 new IPs in the work for the Wii and another few franchise will get anounced new year

Wario Ware, Resident Evil, and Katamari Damacy would be kick ass on the Wii.

On a side note. Would it be possible for Nintendo to release old school games using the Wiimote? I would love to play some Punchout/Super Punchout using the Wiimote. I'm sure there are tons of old school games that could be tweaked take advantage.

Well you can still play it on your Wii can't you?

I'm looking forward to Wario Ware the most, that should be a fun game, in any case I don't think I'll even be able to snatch a Wii until around the time this baby is released, along with Elebits and Zelda.

Agreed...hopefully LucasArts can do sword fighting better than Ubisoft...

And if it was really one to one. Something that must be possible....

I mean come on! If you could let go of the wii mote and twirl it around your wrists, making your lightsaber look just like a real Jedi's.... ;)

!!!

Just had images of "pro" players who spin the Wiimote round using the strap on their wrists... so much potential for something to go wrong too! but that'd make a cool virtual shield.

We all know a lightsabre game is inevitable.

Disaster: Day of Crisis
Orb (Zelda-style title)
Thorn
Red Steel 2 (See IGN)
No More Heroes
Smash Bros. Brawl
Mario Galaxy and Kirby (if they turn out to be of decent length)
BWii
Project 'S'
VC: SMW, SMW: Yoshi's Island, Street Fighter II, Zelda: Link to the Past, Super Mario Kart, Mario Paint (Wii Remote enabled please :p).

I've probably forgot a few but that's pretty much what I'm interested in.

I would love a Star Wars game. Of the announced games, I'm most looking forward to Smash Bros. I wish they'd release more details of what characters are gonna be in the game!
