I've never done the xbox wifi thing so I don't know. My guess is that it would be faster because you're removing the computer from the equation.

Anybody toss in more than a WAG?

no, but will it work? can it pick up a wireless signal from another router up stairs and forward it to my 360?

Ooooh.

I took a quick scan of the online manual and they made indirect references that imply that this router can join an existing network so that sounds like it will do what you need???
