Interesting.

I'm studying for a few exams right now (and thus do not have the time to check this out myself), can anybody tell me a little more about this?

I can tell you it's a whole lot of work for what little you get. Have a Look at DMG Packager (http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/20882) for a much easier tool to do this, if you want to do it...

Thanks for the link. It does look like a lot of work. But the tutorials on this site are pretty cool. I'm going to send the link to my Nana. I didn't know how to show hidden files or that re-packaging the dmg would make it shrink to size and open on mounting. I love stuff like that - without having to get third party tools.

I hope they keep posting new stuff. There was one the other day I liked about configuring a folder to send mail (http://murphymac.com/files-mailed-magically-when-dropped-in-a-finder-folder/) when you drop a file into it. It attaches the file and sends the mail without you having to do anything else.

You're right though, making a dmg should be way easier.
