iPod Ipod connected for over 15 minnutes, and keeps saying do not disconect

I plugged in my iPod over 15 minutes ago ,and its kept sayign the do not disconect sign. I have tried to access iTunes for the past 10, and it does not come up

Assistance pelase 🙂

EDIT: I have Windows, so no mac related answers woudl be helpful 🙂
