Maybe $150

I have one to but I don't need a new one.

If I were you, I'd just check out the average prices on Ebay. It seems to be the most common means of determining the value of used items these days. (You've probably already checked, right?)

P.S. Canucks in 6?

I just learned the "Art" of checking "prices" on eBay. One cannot simply go onto eBay, type "300ZX," and expect the first price he sees to be any where near that item's actual worth . . .

No, no.

The workable technique requires far more attention to subtleties. Example:

I post a very lucrative item. The opening bid is $2.00. You visit the site when two (of the -- nine, let's say) days have gone by; at that time it's "worth" $12.00. You complain to someone selling something back here. Yet when the item sells, seven days later, it has reached $2,040.00.

You see what happens?

Unless you catch the auction at its tail-end, or manage to hit a "dead auction," one that has already been won, you have no accurate way of determining that item's true, eventual worth. This is the nature of bidding. The nature of eBay.

It's not the best way to go about "appraising" your (or another's) stuff, but one can do it . . . if one is intelligent . . .

When he suggested using ebay for appraising your stuff, use the completed auctions.

C.o.G.: Much easier, and solves your problem.
