Ha ha ha, assuming it's legit and you can actually see and touch it before you pay...it's a no brainer. Buy it. But odds are, it's either a scam, or it's stolen.

I would only buy it for $900 brand new, in the box from a friend with a decent explanation.

Well, if this person isn't willing to let you look at the actual machine before you buy it, then yes, a $2700 computer they are selling for $900 is stolen, I'd say it's stolen anyway. It's common sense dude.

It's probably a brick...that'd seem about right given the situation

did I not just say I saw the computer? It's brand new, looks like it's never been used I took it out of the box myself.

brand new implies sealed...

well, let's all note not to buy a MBP 17" from bigkito if it goes on sale on day in marketplace

You said brand new, which means to me that it's "sealed". And you didn't say you saw the computer you said "ofcourse I can touch it before I pay lol its brand new inside the box".

i think the OP is a scam... because
1. he'd consider if he should buy a MBP for 900 or a blackbook, anyone sane would pick the MBP (given it's no scam)
2. apparently even after warning he is still set on thinking it's legit
3. his posts contradicting to himself
4. how can that possibly be legit?

bearbo you need to stop overanalyzing, relax urself, i never bought a mac so anyone SANE wouldnt necessarily pick the MBP i wouldnt go that far
the reason i asked if i should choose the MBP is because its CORE DUO as oppose to the CORE 2 DUO that would come with the black macbook i originally planned on purchasing...the MBP was sealed until i took it out to look at it, i just finished seeing the guy...its the 2.16ghz macbook pro core duo 2GB ram for $900 w/ windows xp as well as os x and hasnt been registered yet
