D80 just for Aperture and Sony P-N-S just for iPhoto

Hey Everyone

I have been a long time lurker here. I just bought a Nikon D80 and I am going to stop by the Apple store and get Aperture on the way home.

My question is can Aperture auto detect the SD card from my D80 and import photos. I dont want Aperture import anything from the Memory Stick on my Sony P-N-S camera and I dont want iPhoto to import any pics from the SD card from my D80.

I would fore-go the camera downloading issue altogether and get a San Disk all-in-one reader. Most likely it will work with all you applications and you wont have to muck around with attaching many different cameras to the computer.
