iPod 1st Gen iPod Shuffle Change from PC to Mac

Just purchased an iPod Shuffle 1st generation from Ebay.
Has been used on a PC with Microsoft.

Will not go to source on iTunes 7.03 just stays on the deck top as a white oblong display.

Have downloaded the latest patch from Apple.
Has had no effect.

Can anyone help

Can you reformat it in Disk Utility in the Utilities folder? Is iTunes already running when you plug the iPod in? 🙂
 
Have tried Disk utility but restore does not light up.
Suspect this may be a forgery unit.
Has blue light on front not green/amber and no shuffle switch on back just on/off.
 
Something sounds wrong with it. I've used several PC-formatted iPods on my Macs and have never run into an issue.

Using a Mac-formatted iPod on a PC, well that's a different story...
